Fom confirms its commitment to supporting the “Quality of Life” project promoted by Crisalide A.D.O.C.M.

Fom is once again renewing its support for the “Quality of Life” project promoted by Crisalide A.D.O.C.M. – Associazione Donne Operate Carcinoma Mammario, in collaboration with Salute in Comune, confirming its concrete and ongoing commitment to women’s health and well-being.

Participation in this initiative is part of a structured corporate social responsibility pathway that sees Fom actively supporting local projects focused on prevention, early diagnosis, and improving the quality of life of oncology patients.

Fom’s collaboration with Crisalide represents a long-standing relationship: the company was among the main donors of the ultrasound scanner for early breast cancer diagnosis donated to Ospedale Cervesi, contributing to the enhancement of technological equipment serving the community and strengthening the local prevention network.

Among its key initiatives, the “Quality of Life” project offers women who have undergone breast surgery the opportunity to access a first free physiatric consultation at a local medical facility. The objective is to ensure timely specialist evaluation following surgery, in order to promptly identify any post-operative complications.

Particular attention is given to the prevention of lymphedema, a condition that may arise after surgery and which, if not properly treated, risks becoming chronic and significantly impacting patients’ quality of life. Early diagnosis and the timely initiation of targeted physiotherapy treatments help reduce the risk of complications and promote a more effective functional recovery.

The project also includes the supply of specific healing dressings for drainage to the oncology department, aimed at improving post-operative recovery, reducing the risk of infection, and promoting faster wound healing.

Through this renewed support, Fom reaffirms its commitment to operating with continuity, integrity, and responsibility in support of the local community, promoting initiatives that place prevention, access to care, and health protection at the center.
