Industrial Controller

Work location: Cattolica (RN)
Employment type: Permanent contract.
Applicable collective bargaining agreement: Metalworking Industry National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL).
Indicative salary range: Gross annual salary of €40,000–€50,000, determined based on experience, skills and level of autonomy in the role.

Fom is looking for an Industrial Controller to join the Administration, Finance and Control Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for industrial management control activities, supporting the monitoring of the economic performance of Operations and contributing to the analysis of production results and industrial profitability.

The role involves close collaboration with the Management Control Manager and the Production, Process Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations functions, providing reliable analyses to support decision-making processes and the continuous improvement of company performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse industrial costs and the main economic drivers of production processes.
    • Monitor the economic performance of the plant, departments and cost centres.
    • Analyse variances against budget, forecast, standards and company targets, identifying their causes and proposing corrective actions.
    • Support the preparation of the industrial budget and periodic forecasts.
    • Prepare periodic reports for Management and Operations functions.
    • Prepare economic analyses and summaries to support the decision-making process.
    • Monitor key industrial KPIs, analysing their performance and contributing to the identification of improvement opportunities.
    • Use ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence tools to extract, analyse and consolidate data.
    • Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering and Supply Chain in interpreting economic and production performance.
    • Support the identification of inefficiencies and opportunities to improve industrial profitability.
    • Ensure the reliability and consistency of the data used for analysis and reporting.

Requirements

The position is open to candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Economics, Management Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
    • At least 5 years of experience in Industrial Management Control, Industrial Controlling or Operations Controlling roles.
    • Good knowledge of industrial accounting, cost analysis and management control principles.
    • Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts and management reporting.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience using ERP systems and data analysis tools.
    • Strong analytical, data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with operational and industrial functions.

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Experience gained in manufacturing or metalworking companies.
    • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
    • Knowledge of English.
