The Group brings together the expertise of five manufacturing companies, offering a continuous operational flow that integrates processing technologies and software solutions into a perfectly coordinated ecosystem.

Fom boasts a unique portfolio combining machines, software, and know-how, giving customers concrete tools to increase productivity, manage innovative materials, and accelerate digital transformation processes.
Supporting its global presence, the Group relies on 12 branches and a network of over 90 distributors, ensuring widespread assistance and technical expertise in every reference market.

Our History

For fifty years, Fom has been manufacturing systems and designing integrated solutions for cutting and machining extruded aluminum profiles.

1972

Fonderie Officine Meccaniche F.O.M. is founded in Cattolica as a mechanical workshop and foundry.

1976

Fom moves to Misano and begins exporting worldwide.

1980

Production of the first double-head cut-off saw.

1990

First foreign market: Fom enters France with sales staff, technicians, and a local network. The first international roots.

1991

First thermal cutting assembly line.

1995

First CNC developed and built by Fom

2001

First automatic cutting line.

2002

Fom’s headquarters returns to Cattolica.

2004

To ensure a global offering, Fom Group is founded.

2005

Logo  restyle

2012

The first 4-head Ever crimping machines (Rim brand) are launched.

2017

Major product restyling with the FMC series of CNC machining centers.

2018

The LMX650 automatic cutting and processing line is presented.

2022

Work begins on the expansion of the Cattolica headquarters (+20,000 sqm of production space, +7,000 sqm of offices).

2023

Fom Group acquires Dubus, a leading company in high-end custom systems for PVC cutting and processing.

2025

Fom plant in Cattolica keeps growing
